From humble beginnings nearly 400 years ago, Blackwell Grange has evolved into a comfortable, rambling farmstead with flagstone floors, beamed ceilings, deep-set mullioned windows and generous fireplaces. It looks out on to open fields stretching south towards the Cotswold hills.

The spacious bedrooms, with zip-and-link beds, are all en-suite and have tea/coffee facilities.

Log fires, deep sofas and plenty to read, offer warmth and relaxation at the end of a winter's day.

In summer though, the colours, perfumes and sounds of an English country garden are a real temptation to let the world go by as you read, or write, or plan - or dream.
