The Blackwell flock of British Vendeen Ewes.
Breeding stock is sold at Breed Society
Sales and is also available for sale privately. Stock for sale includes,
rams and ewe lambs, Shearlings both male and female, and also older animals.
All animals have been scanned as lambs resulting in figures for eye muscle
depth, back fat and growth rates, these results are then formulated into
one figure giving the animal an index. The graph below shows the improvement
that the British Vendeen Sire Reference Scheme has had since 1992.

An easy care breed, it produces excellent terminal sires for crossing and milky females with great mothering abilities. The Vendéen is noted as an out of season breeder and will usually breed at any time of year.
An on farm visit can be arranged at any time, or stock can be seen at any of the major shows including The Three Counties, The Royal Show, The Great Yorkshire, The Royal Welsh and Moreton-in-Marsh agricultural show.
