The 1604 Accommodation
The Granary – sleeps 2
A super king bedroom haven with a luxurious full bathroom suite for those lingering moments. This romantic ‘secret’, revealed on your wedding night is tucked under the thatch roof, designed for privacy and indulgence, what a way to start your married life!
The Water Tower – sleeps 2
The lovingly named Granny’s Attic, our most compact and bijou suite, Cotswold views to swoon over, offering a French Queen en-suite with shower on the second floor of The Water Tower.
The Stables – sleeps 4
No longer housing the race horses bred by the Vernon Miller family of years gone by, or the military polo ponies, these two ground floor super king en-suites, one shower, one bath tell the incredible stories of the owner’s lives in the equestrian worlds of polo and racing. The interiors are as rich in colour as the heritage is of the old stable walls and doors, the family’s racing silks an inspiration to the colour palette and the room names a nod to victories in a bygone era (Please note Polo can be a twin).
The Flour Mill
At the heart of 1604, the very reason why this open plan kitchen restaurant originates, as this is where the oats were milled for flour in a former life. This space is ideal for the morning after, providing the perfect opportunity for the full debrief while enjoying your 1604 breakfast.
The Corn Shed – sleeps 6
This double vaulted, contemporary Cotswold barn gets all the action! Steeped in history from the current owner’s earlier farming years and even housed their own engagement party, six guests are spoilt for choice in these super king en-suites, two bath, one shower. The downstairs floor, also hosts the groom’s room, housed within The Old Linen Room, with the additional option of the hall and Big Horn suite, for the morning’s preparations. Rather spoilingly, the other two suites, Moonlight Escapade (also being offered as a twin) with bath, and Gin ‘n Lime with shower, are accessed by their own staircase! We love the room names, a nod back to race horses bred and trained by the family.
The Hayloft Cottage – sleeps 10
Hayloft, the super king bedroom with full en-suite on the first floor, has all the cottage vibes. Ancient beams throughout, even a private balcony with views of The Walled Herb Garden and the Cotswold hills beyond plus a stunning roll top copper bath to ease away the strains of celebrations! We even provide the bubbles, both kinds! Swallows, named after the birds that nest in the passage between the cottage and the owner’s home, is the other super king en-suite (or twin), with shower on the ground floor, a sanctuary reflecting the surrounding nature. The third room in this traditional country cottage, is coveted by all the children (and teens!) called The Bunker, a designated family room, sleeping a total of 6, in our bespoke set of bunk beds. This comprises a maximum of 4 adults with 2 children, it is not for 6 adults.
* Zed beds are available to hire as part of the 24 guest capacity, but are only available in Swallows and Hayloft.
*Any child below the age of 16 years, as an overnight guest, must be accompanied by an adult in a bedroom.
