Immerse yourself for the afternoon: an informal, relaxed experience, exploring all BG has to offer, what could become the backdrop to your wedding story, no two are ever the same. 

Tucked away in the North Cotswolds countryside, a collection of sympathetically restored properties, including the 16th century thatch barn and the more recent contemporary Orchard Barn, sitting amongst converted farm properties that make up 1604, our award winning accommodation and gardens; our slice of romantic English countryside, for all seasons. BG is our exclusive-use venue within this estate, lovingly curated for four generations, by the Vernon Miller family, a place where old and new are intertwined, the perfect backdrop for weddings to feel entirely your own.

Awaken your senses: wander through the grounds, see and feel the history and textures, touch the ancient honey-hued stone and marvel at the thatch roofs, soak up the scents that envelop all corners of this part of the Cotswolds and discover what and how you are looking for, to create your wedding day. Imagine intimate ceremonies under centuries old beams with a crackling fire, or outside vows under the wisteria arbor, surrounded by lavender and roses, your season, your way. Taste the bespoke cocktails, picture croquet and champagne flowing on the lawns, sample live cooking, discuss the cosy feasting tables with our chef or the pizza toppings for evening guests from our outdoor kitchen. Hear the music for your aisle entrance or choose the song that packs the dancefloor, let conversations flow with our recommended musicians. This is an immersive, interactive occasion, so try on the suit, or maybe the lipstick, but don’t leave without asking our in house florist/stylist all your design questions in the informal take aways, hosted throughout the afternoon by our owner. 

Feel the love! There’s a reason why our couples choose BG for something other than just getting married. It’s your choice how you celebrate, where guests stay and for whatever length of time you choose, whether one night or two, discuss the night before options. For this occasion only, you’re welcome to book 1604 for an overnight stay, if you’d like to soak up the interiors, feel the sheets and have a hint of how we roll!

Our event’s team will be by your side throughout the afternoon, to guide you around, make introductions to the talented suppliers, answer questions, explore your ideas or discuss alternative suggestions from their wealth of experience.
